Domestic animals that are not lucky enough to live under the protection of a family are sadly exposed to many dangers.
The poor dark-furred mongrel was emaciated and dehydrated in the bitter cold of December, but besides that, she was not alone.
The little dog was found with three other puppies who appeared to be her siblings. The dogs also showed signs of abandonment, but it was Arya who had gotten the worst of it.
The Howl Of a Dog volunteers were heartbroken at the sight of her, as her little eyes seemed to be screaming for mercy.
The litter of puppies was found among the walls of the nearby garage. With little strength to walk, the little dog could not stop wagging its tail when it realized that help had finally arrived.
As Arya regained some of her strength amidst the rubble, her heroes saw her for the first time and were devastated.
Those hard and flat slabs were his only mattress and that of his other little friends.
The scene moved the rescuers, but they were also surprised to see that the caring dog was using her few strengths to stand up and go and tell the other rescuers about her arrival.
Arya knew that a favorable change would come not only for her, but for her companions and that was exactly what happened.
These handsome people rescued the other furry ones, two of them also females.
They baptized them as: Alma and Aпυka.
The volunteers who had that first contact with the litter were amazed to see the docility with which the dog and her friends allowed themselves to be rescued.
Despite the mistreatment they may have experienced in the past, these little ones were grateful and determined to be rescued.
The only thing Arya wanted was a chance to be truly happy.
The dog was taken to a shelter where a specialist evaluated her medical condition, and she also received a comforting bath and food.
Amidst such attention, Arya wagged her tail in gratitude but then changed her face. The little girl was happy but just wanted to sleep.
The rest and the pain she received helped her to recover from the critical condition she was in, and along with her, her fellow birds also received support.
Arпia was between 2 and 3 years old and weighed less than 6 kilos.
But, with the loving care of her heroes, this warrior managed to regain weight during the first few weeks in the shelter. In addition, she overcame the trauma she suffered from her front legs.
A month after the rescue, Arya was already happily running around the shelter’s garden.
Now her tail was wagging with joy because of all the love and attention she was receiving. For this little dog, life changed thanks to the good will of her rescuers, but nothing would have been possible except for her great strength and from there her name appeared.
“Arпia means as strong as an eagle and that is exactly how this sweet warrior turned out to be,” says her rescuer.
